My little charmer!
I am new to the Shih Tzu breed, but not new to showing and training dogs. My son and I showed and bred Wirehaired Fox Terriers when he was a boy, At some point he tired of showing dogs and cherishing my time with him, I gave it up as well. I still have my favorite Wire. She is an old girl, but knows how to show what a terrier is all about.
I have always loved the look of the Shih Tzu, and with some planning and hard work, I hope to be as successful showing this breed as I was my terriers. Annabelle (Simply Irresistible) is a charmer, and seems to enjoy being in front of the camera. She will start her show career in August in Greensboro, NC. My only goal at this show is to help her relax and enjoy the ring! The best part of competing is doing it with a dog that loves the ring. I am hoping she will follow in the footsteps of Chelsie, one of my wires who was a sweetheart outside the ring, but intensly fierce and a show-off in the ring. She loved to compete!
